Welcome to 2013

Yaaaaah I know, I'm quite late with this whole "The year is over and Happy-New-Year- Thing"
But well... Better late than never :D
My 2012 was... not the best year I could have. I had many family, friend and school issues and although I somehow managed to get over with most of it... well like I said: It could have been better ^^'
And because I'm a forward-looking person I think that 2013 will be MY year :D
My first milestone will be to get into university and as I'm really optimistic, I think everything will be fine. And there are other things I want to achieve. For example I want to travel somewhere again, visit my friends, who are studying all over Germany and other things.

Well, with that being said: I hope that 2013 will also be your year!
And don't forget to always believe that everything's gonna be good! :D Only then you can make changes and things happen! :)

And now some random photos, because else this would be too boring :D

Until next time
Do your best! :D

Preparation And Presents

Oooooookay
I know I didn't blog for a while now, but it isn't like I did nothing ^^''
In fact I've been pretty busy lately.
Besides working in the hotel nearly everyday at the moment, I've been going to a preparatory course for a few weeks now.
In this course I'm trying to prepare a portfolio with which I want to apply for University in april next year. I will show you some other time, what we've been doing so far :)

Right now I want to show you what I gave my sister for her birthday last month.
Since her old bag is pretty worn out because of her home remodelling I thought I could sew her a new one :)

I was inspired by the bag from Thailand I brought back home for a friend.
And since my sister really loves "Winnie The Pooh" (she turned 25...) and especially Eeyore (I really had to laugh when I looked for the english name, since in germany he is called "I-aah"...), I thought "why not put him on the front of the bag :'DD"

The "crazy sisters" was because... well when someone meets me and my sister together, they always say we're not really normal xDDD
At first I wanted to write a quote of one of our favorite movies "Eurotrip" and "10 things I hate about you"... But I couldn't really find a fitting quote...

Transferring Eeyore to the bag was quite difficult... I didn't want to paint him by hand since I feared that something could go wrong, so I printed out a picture of him and then put the paint on a transparency.

And then because I still wasn't sure if it will work, I tried it on another sheet of fabric.
For my taste it turned out good enough. So I repainted it and put it on the real fabric.
And hoooow else could it be??? It turned out really bad DDD:

Well, then I spent hours to repair what I've done. I filled it out with white paint and redraw with black paint and so on until I was pleased with the result. And that you can see above :D

Oh! And another present I made was a portrait of me and a friend.
And then I'm still working on the "Pink Petals-Dress", I have mentioned at some point. But it is on hiatus right now, because I've done something wrong and I am too lazy to open up the seam again X____x and then again I have to prepare everything for my upcoming birthdayparty :DDD

So there's still much planned and you can expect that there's still something coming up in the next time :)

So stay tuned!
Until then
Have a good and a merry pre-Christmas time :)

Vietnam#3- Crazy Houses and Animals

Hello Everybody :)
Now my last entry about Vietnam ^^

When we arrived in Saigon (Ho-Chi-Minh-City) we went straight further to Da Lat.
A city in the mountains, which resembles a lot to Black Forest(Germany) or Vosges (France).
Again we went by bus. But not a special bus. It was a SLEEPING BUS! Ö.Ö
I never saw anything like that and it was really funny riding it :'D
That's how it looked :'DDD

On our first day in DaLat we went hiking through the area and it really felt like I was at home (I'm from the area of Black Forest and Vosges :'D) and the weather wasn't that hot anymore.
Thanh and I felt really comfortable since for us it was still warm enough to walk around in T-Shirts, but her cousins all were cold and Xuan (the small girl in the pictures xD) even wore hat, scarf and gloves xDDDDD.
Unfortunately I can't find my photos right now oO
I will upload them, if I find them again ^^''''

The next day we went a little bit of sight-seeing.
The first thing we visited was a hotel called "Crazy House". But because it really is crazy none wants to stay there, so now it is a museum :'D
This was the design for it. And it really looked like a witch cottage and I think it really is gorgeous :'D

One of those many staircases which went criss-cross all over the house :'D
Insinde were many animal figures. This is one of them ^^
Also a part of the house and a part of the garden

On the same day we also went to a really beautiful lake
And we did a lot of other stuff... but that's not mentionable :'D

Of course we also went to a market :'D
The place was so full of people that I had a hard time to not loose sight of my people xD
The next day we went back to Saigon :)
There we often went shopping xD
But we also went to the zoo :)

When we went shopping we found a sales booth that offered Japanese Crepes. They were so delicious *____*

And because the weather was really sunny in Saigon and Xuan didn't want to get tanned, she drove her motorcycle like this :
Aaaaaand on our last day we went to eat sushi :3

All in all I had so much fun on this trip and if I could I would go straight back because the people were all so nice to me and the atmosphere was great!
I'm really happy I had the opportunity to go there and this was all thanks to a particular asian girl, who took my hand in p.e. and dragged me with her <3
I will always treasure those memories :3

I hope you liked reading about my adventures in Vietnam :D
Until next time~
Byebye!

Vietnam #2 - Funny-weird things

Oooooookay!
Be ready for a loooooong loooooong blogpost :'DDD
We went from the countryside to a city, which is located at the ocean: Rach Gia.
Some other relatives of my friend are living there, so we were visiting most of them ^^
We spent there something about a week, but we also toured around the region and cousins of my friend went with us.
The whole time I didn't feel a little bit bored, 'cause we had so much fun and the cousins were so fun to be around. And again I saw so many interesting things :DD

The first thing was this:

When we went from the countryside to the city, we were driving with a bus and at some time an old lady came in, put her bag at the entrance and went to her seat...
I think I was staring about 10 minutes at this bag and asked myself what the hell was inside this bag.
And when I recognized that there were 2 chicken in that bag I had to laugh so hard.
My friends cousin looked at me and asked what was wrong with me and I just pointed at the bag and said: "It's a chicken..."
They knew that I wouldn't be used to something like that, so the people in the bus laughed with me.
It didn't matter to me that people brought whole chicken in the bus or something like that, but at that moment I was just so perplexed that I couldn't stop to laugh.... :'D

Okay let's go on with the dead animal-stories :'DDD
Somewhen we were walking around the city and when I looked at the river I saw this:

Yes...It's a pig. A dead pig swimming on the river....
I didn't know if I should laugh again or be sad that an innocent dead pig was floating on the river...
Again I was reaaaally perplexed ^^'

Aaaaand to sum it up:
At some day I was told, that we would go to the Jungle and watch some birds.
I thought: "Hm.. okay... I don't like birds that much.. but could be interesting..."
Then we went there and looked at these birds:

And as we were looking at them Anh Tam told me: "And now we're going to eat them!"
I was like: "Euh....Okay...?!"
I think under normal conditions I would have said, that I don't want to eat anything strange, but before we went on this trip I promised myself that I would at least try anything they offer me. Because this would only be polite and so I did try the birds... In fact they were quite delicious :'D
That's what they looked like after we orderes 2 birds. Some guys went into the jungle caught them, prepared them and brought them to us....

Okay next to some nice things :'D
In Vietnam there is some quite famous bay called "Halong Bay" and is located near Hanoi.
We didn't go there since it was too far away. But there is another bay which looks like Halong Bay.
It was near Ha Tien and was sooo beautiful. To get to the beach we went through some temple which was built into a mountain. It was really amazing!

This was the bay. The amazing thing were the rocks in the middle of the sea :'D

A little bit of the beach. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the temple :/
But we were visitng a lot of different temples. So now some pictuers (again :P)

Having some fun :'DD

Some other day we went to the mountains hiking. On that mountain there were several caves. It was really exhausting and after that we really didn't look that good xD
So I will spare you with pictures of our faces, but show you some of the caves ;P

Border to Cambodia
Sometime we also saw monkeys!!! :'D
They were really cute! *-*
Aaaaaaaaaand at some evening we went to a Karaoke Bar! :'D
Those Karaoke Bars were like the ones in Japan where every group gets their own room and so on.
It was really funny and the cousins were really enthusiastic :'DD

Okay I think that was everything... For now :P
Next time is about a city in the mountains and the capital city of Vietnam

Until then
Have a good time :3

Plenty of Beer in Vietnam

Oooooooh Gawd D:
It's been such a long time since I promised to post about my trip to Vietnam :/

Well reasons for my abscence are that first: My sister bought a house and it has to be renovated and I work there every free minute I have (okay that's a bit exaggerated :P)...
And second: I just didn't know what I should write about Vietnam....
We experienced so much and did so many things that I didn't know where to start and where to stop....
But well I promised it :P

So~ where to start?
When we arrived in Vietnam we went straight to the countryside to visit my friends aunt and relatives from her mother's side.
They welcomed me really warm and were really nice to me.
At first it was bit awkward because I didn't understand one word vietnamese and had to depend on my friend so much.
But nevertheless it was really nice and funny there :)
On one day there was a parade in town and I was standing on the wayside and aaaall the people who were walking by and saw me began to smile and wave at me.
It was really cute.
Also when we went to the market people always wanted to talk to me, pointed at me with their fingers, told others to look at me and told me how beautiful I was. Only because they were not used to see a white person :'D
I was so flustered xDD

This was our lunch one day. The yellow thing in the background was Banh Xeo, something like a filled Omlette and it was reaaally yummy :)
The black things were spicy clams and the eggs were duckeggs, if I remember correctly... not sure right now...
 Our little drinking group :'D
Next to me my friends cousin and his friends
They all wanted to drink beer with a german girl... and so we did... we drank LOTS of beer xDD

...so much that we had to change locations and go drinking with the family of the guy with the striped shirt...
This guy was so drunk that he talked to me the whole time, even though I told him I don't understand any vietnamese... He didn't care xDDD

I think that's enough right now...
There is so much more I want to show you,
that I have to divide it up ^^'
Until then
Have a good time~

Don't trust strangers! - Bangkok

Well~
I'm home again and I really want to go somewhere else again xD
But first I have to tell you what I did when I was in Bangkok and Vietnam :D
When we were in Bangkok we only had 3 days, but it was really enough to get to know the city.
Oh! And it was really nothing like in Hangover 2! xDD
It is true that some parts of the city seem shady and we didn't want to go out at night but nevertheless everyone was really nice and people helped us a lot.
Well. Some of them were too nice :D
My friend and I really looked like the typical tourists and so we easy prey for everyone who wanted to take us out :D

On our first the we wanted to go to China Town and because we didn't want to take a bus or anything we seemed a little bit lost...And then this really nice guy came and gave us directions but also said something like 'too far away' and 'boattour better' and things like that and we were reeeeeaaally confused. When he stopped a Tuktuk and told him where he had to drive we just decided to drive with it and see what happens since it didn't seem like he wanted to do something bad xD
In the end we stopped at a landing stage for boats and since we wanted to do a boatstour anyway we decided to do it right away (from our map we also knew that we can stop with the boat at Chinatown) and after we paid my friend made me notice that we paid faaaaaar too much... She was a bit confused and I told her that the price would be ok, since it was the price we would pay in Germany.... Well I'm too naive for this world :D
But in the end we saw a lot of things and nothing seriour happened. So it wasn't THAT grave. But after that we were a bit more cautious ^^''
During the afternoon we stayed at Chinatown bought some things and then went back to the hotel.

On the other day we went to Grand Palace and this was really the highlight of our little trip. There was so much to see and I couldn't stop to take photos and it was really worth its money :)
The only thing that was a little bit annoying was that we had to borrow skirts that our legs don't show. We knew beforehand that we had to dress appropriate and so we wore cardigans and 3/4pants and closed shoes. We really were sure that this would be okay, but when we arrived they told us our pants were too short... Well either way it was a bit too hot but okay :)
In the afternoon we walked around (we didn't want to take a TukTuk or Bus, so the only thing left was walking xD). We walked about 2 hours when we finally got near train-stations again xDDD

But we really saw a lot :) The rest of our time we spent shopping :) We bought from little street-markets, but we also went to big shopping-centres.
So much for my report. And now some pictures :DD

And like that the journey began xD

K-Pop on train-stations :DDD

The most scary thing were crossing the streets... Most of the time the cars weren't stopping even for a second.. So you had to slowly walk over the road and hope that they slow down and don't hit you xD

Boattour :'D

Bubble Tea :D

Note in the changing room of Grand Palace :D

Tour through Grand Palace :D

reaaaaally big shoppong-centre
each floor was supposed to be another city

Whew~ so much for our trip to Bangkok :D
In the next few days I will write about our trip to Vietnam. So stay tuned :DD

Have a good day ~
